    This light has been fantastic, I have used it as a key light, fill light, hair light and as the only light source for shots. The controllable dimmer and colour temperature has been a god send allowing me to match the current lighting conditions as well as to not blinding talent while getting nice and close. The fact you have the choice between AA batteries and a Sony battery makes this very flexible. I have found myself draining the Sony battery and switching to AA batteries while the Sony battery recharges. The only thing it seems to be missing is the ability to plug the light into power directly. When using it as a key light it does need to be quite close to your subject, I used it for a close shot on-location where I had no way of powering my normal 1,000 watt lights and it did the trick but is no replacement for your normal lighting scenario.

    Appears to eat AA batteries pretty quick, but they seem to come back to life a little when you give them a rest. Still using the same set of batteries I first popped in, and I've used this thing for several hours worth of shooting. Color temp is awesome, and I love the brightness control. Very tempted to buy a few more of these nifty little guys.

    Nice light for my photo and video cameras, it adds that highlight that gives a sparkle plus it makes a great hair light. Easy to set up, plenty strong and feels solid in construction. For the price it's a nice tool.

    Had some spare batteries from my Sony HDR-SR11 and they popped right in. Battery life if pretty good and in comparison to the expensive lighting sets, this is right up their with it. Great mobility as well.

    Amazing quality, both temperatures and dimmers, just great. I wish it have a very solid camera support, I recommend a ball head from Vello or Mancrotto

    Decent quality and adjustable white balance. Its great for stills but may not be accurate enough for video. Comes with a nice little case.
