The Viecar CY300 code reader supports all OBD II protocols, including the newly released Controller Area Network (CAN) protocol. Though it is small, it is able to retrieve same information as large expensive scanners!

    A very handy tool for the price. At this price I expected a tool which would simply tell you the code number. But this great little tool gives you a text description of the code. Granted the description may be a little terse and cryptic but you can easily find details on the internet. Very handy even if you don't fix your own vehicles. You can check the code and know what the mechanic should be fixing. This will help you eliminate unnecessary work and costs.

    This unit worked great at helping me diagnose and clear a check engine light on my 2000 Chevy prizm. I was worried that a two button unit would be difficult to navigate and use, but I didn't need to even read the manual to figure it out. Will be nice to keep in my toolbox to have around should another code come up. A tool for how cheap it is and what it can do.
