This is an amazing product. It is well built and the dry erase board erases clean with no smears. It looks alot more professional using a slate over having your talent clap in front of the camera. Now I haven't synced audio with it yet but it will work great since it is louder than I clap to sync audio. The one downside is that it doesn't have a shot number, but that will be fine because there is enough space to add one in yourself. If you are looking to buy this buy it, because it will make you look a heck alot more professional. And this is coming from a 14 year old, so I need to look professional and serious about the films I make. And this is a cheap way to add a little professionalism to my productions. I have already had an experince when I walked on set with this the talent's reaction was, "Wow you have one of those," and they immeaditly took this production seriously. And I never had to use then, but since I'm a 14 year old people don't take me seriously but with this one cheap thing it can bring your production value up a little. Now if you don't have dual audio don't get this! It will be a waste of money. Because all you will be using it for is the white board part, and you can save money by going to dollar general to get a white board alot cheaper. Well that's all I've got to say, but this is an amazing product for the price.

For editing multiple camera inputs, this clapper makes for lining up footage in the sound board so much easier. Clapping your hands "could" do it, but the sharp crisp sound of the the clapper makes it much easier to line up the lines in the process. If you are just starting out in video editing multiple inputs ... you want this.

I should say that this supplier take care of their customers. I was upset because of a delivery problem but Hollywood Mega have take the time to make sure that I receive the product on time. I like this product, it is well manufactured but I also like the attitude od the supplier. I recommend both.

I find this to be well worth the price paid. A couple bucks and a little time will improve the performance of this device. For the whiners: Trip to the hardware store for some lock nuts to replace the non lock nuts solved the often referred to problem of this falling apart. A china marker( AKA grease pencil ) works better than a dry erase marker. If the message board falls away from the clapper either gorilla glue or house hold caulk will fix the problem. for Pete's sake this is only a few bucks for a Clapboard.

Combining a useful clap board strike to help sync audio, and also a useful marking point on the first few frames of your footage to help identify what clip you're using, you can't go wrong here. My only qualm is the white board part is difficult to write on with any white board marker and is hard to erase. This will get very dirty very quick. I suggest masking off the writable sections and repainting with a white board base to give it more usability. The clapper did come very very loose. A phillips head screwdriver corrected that.
