DSO138mini has similar performance as DSO138 but come with significant improvements in power supply and mechanical structure. Unlike DSO138, its power supply was greatly simplified with much less component counts. DSO138mini makes MCU and LCD stay in one PCB to avoid problematic pin-header connections that was used in DSO138. This not only increases product reliability but also allows the main board to become a flexible general purpose controller. The overall size of DSO138mini is only 2/3 of DSO138 so it is much more suitable for hand-held operation.

Improvements in power supply and mechanical structure, it can run on USB or a single cell 3.7V Li-ion battery.
Can be connected with computer for data transmission.
DSO138mini has improvements in firmware, too. 
Its trigger can work reliably under 10us and 20us timebase settings.
With Auto/Normal/Single trigger modes, easy to capture the moment waveform.
Available rising or falling edge trigger.
Observable previous trigger waveform (negative delay).
Can freeze at any time waveform display (HOLD function).
Waveform storage function: will not lose the waveform after power off.
Short-circuit and open-circuit detection: can help the user find out the soldering error.
TFT controller recognition function.
All SMD parts has been soldered and the MCU has been programmed.
Comes with a transparent case, can protect the oscilloscope well.
